Actors’ Equity Association Endorses Susan Wild for Congress

New York -– Actors’ Equity Association announced that Equity’s National Council has voted unanimously to endorse Susan Wild’s reelection campaign for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7th District, on behalf of the more than 51,000 actors and stage managers working in live entertainment.

“From making healthcare affordable and accessible to lowering the cost of living, Rep. Wild shares Equity’s priorities,” said Al Vincent Jr., executive director of Actors’ Equity Association. “Let’s return her to the House where she can continue to push forward a pro-worker agenda!”

Last month, Equity also endorsed Bob Casey for Senate in the Commonwealth of the Pennsylvania. This year, Equity has hired political organizers around the country, including in Pennsylvania, to mobilize their communities and get out the vote this campaign season.

Equity’s public policy priorities include defending and protecting the right to collectively bargain, a prevailing wage in the arts, racial justice, a strong minimum wage, stronger federal and state arts funding, gun violence prevention, universal federal health care, tax fairness and LGBTQ non-discrimination protections.

ACTORS' EQUITY ASSOCIATION, founded in 1913, is the U.S. labor union that represents more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers.
