The International Federation of Actors (FIA) stands in solidarity and supports Equity's campaign for decent pay for development work on Broadway musicals.

Following the announcement this week that Equity’s National Council has authorized a strike against the Broadway League for all Development work, Actors’ Equity Association is advising all non-union actors and stage managers that they will be prohibited from joining the union in the future if they agree to take work that is subject to Equity’s strike

Following the launch of a strike yesterday, members of Actors’ Equity Association have hit the streets, asking audiences to join Equity's fight for a stronger Lab Agreement with the Broadway League. Today Equity members greeted ticket buyers outside the Broadway TKTS location and asked them to join the #NotALabRat campaign. Audience members who supported the campaign were given one of Equity’s #NotALabRat buttons to wear into their shows.  

After nearly two years of unsuccessful attempts to negotiate a new contract to replace the Lab Agreement with the Broadway League, members of Actors’ Equity Association have declared a strike calling for a halt to all new show development work with members of the Broadway League.    

Actors’ Equity Association has expanded its campaign for a new Lab Agreement with the Broadway league by launching its first round of digital ads asking audiences to join Equity's fight for a stronger Lab Agreement with the Broadway League.  

Actors’ Equity announced that the Union’s #NotALabRat campaign entered a new phase, where Equity members have begun asking audiences to join Equity's fight for a stronger Lab Agreement with the Broadway League. 

Actors' Equity Association announced that Equity’s National Council has voted to endorse Gavin Newsom’s campaign for Governor on behalf of the 10,174 Equity members who live and work in the state of California. 

Actors’ Equity Association announced that Equity’s National Council has voted to endorse J. B. Pritzker’s campaign for Governor on behalf of the 1,924 Equity members who live and work in the state of Illinois. 

More than 500 Equity actors and stage managers call Atlanta home, and do outstanding professional work at such theaters as Actors’ Express Theatre Company, Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Lyric, Atlanta Shakespeare, Aurora (Main Stage), Theatre Emory at Emory University, Horizon Theatre Company, Savannah Repertory Theatre, Theatrical Outfit and True Colors Theatre. These theatres all use full Equity agreements, making long-term commitments to providing fair compensation, including health care and pension benefits. 

Actors’ Equity Association held a day of action in San Francisco, with 40 Equity members joining the #YesonE campaign to volunteer and contact San Francisco voters about voting #YesonE, the local arts funding ballot measure.
